SEEING IS NOT BELIEVING

Contemporary world is best imagined understood on a visual level, just as in the nineteenth century when the world was represented in the newspaper and the novel. In this era of screens, “Seeing is much more than believing” or understanding. It’s not just a part of everyday life, it is everyday life. In short, seeing does not mean believing, but interpreting. Visual imagery succeeds or fails according to the extent to which we can successfully interpret it.

The process of visual perception is susceptible to errors, which may result in phenomena such as optical illusions, at the same time, these errors can be used to manipulate perception.
